From Curation to Design
The exhibition “Reading & Re-reading: Chinese Painting and Calligraphy” breaks away from conventional frameworks. By weaving together Chinese painting and calligraphy with classic literature, it reconnects with the audience’s latent memories, creating a cross-temporal reunion that bridges poetry, art and human connection.
Join us for a talk in which Ms Bernadette Mok, Curator (Xubaizhai) of the HKMoA, will share the curatorial concepts of the exhibition, while the artist group will offer a behind-the-scenes look at their creative process, exploring how spatial layout, visual identity and lighting design have been employed to reinterpret traditional presentations for a contemporary eye.
Speakers: Bernadette Mok, Renatus Wu, Hung Man-po and Dio Wong
Language: Cantonese
*Enrolment is not required. The Hall will be open for admission 15 minutes before the talk commences. Limited seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The “Zoom-in Chinese Painting and Calligraphy” Talk Series brings together various experts, scholars, and collectors, to discuss and explore the rich diversity and allure of Chinese painting and calligraphy.
